Gonzales awards track athletes

A packed house of athletes and their families gathered last Wednesday at the Gonzales High School cafeteria for the track and field awards night and dinner.

All-League teams announced

Adrian Lopez, a senior infielder and pitcher for the Soledad High baseball team was chosen as the Mission Trail Athletic League Player of the Year in a meeting of league head coaches.

Munoz, Contawe in finals

For the second straight year Roman Munoz of King City and Daniel Contawe of Soledad will be representing their respective high schools on Friday at the Central Coast Section Track and Field Championships.

San Ardo boxer wins in Modesto

Alvaro Pantoja of the San Ardo Boxing Club won by unanimous decision at the Red Shield Boxing Show in Modesto on Saturday afternoon. Pantoja fought in the 135 pound weight class.
