SOLEDAD — A man was killed in a shooting Sunday morning in Soledad, according to the Soledad Police Department.

Officers responded at about 11:04 a.m. on May 31 to a report of a shooting victim in the 100 block of West Street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police and emergency medical personnel immediately provided life-saving aid, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary investigation, two suspects were last seen running westbound on West Street following the shooting.

The case remains under investigation, police said.
