Gonzales youth commissioners complete summer fellowship
Over the summer Nayeli Gomez and Cindy Aguilar were part of a Youth Council Summer Fellowship program, during which they experienced working with city agencies and leading their fellow classmates who joined them as part of the Gonzales Youth Council for the 2018-19 school year.

Gonzales City Council was introduced to a proposed new development that would include a library with meeting rooms and a community space as well as nearby housing.
After-school program receives city approval to continue
About 180 Gonzales students are receiving after-school help through the Expanded Learning After School Services Program, which offers homework assistance along with recreational activities for the youth.
City of Gonzales, Mann Packing team up for second wind turbine
A second wind turbine will soon join the Taylor Farms wind turbine in Gonzales. The City Council approved a wind turbine site lease agreement between the City and Mann Packing Company Inc. on Nov. 20.
Housing development study approved
A technical study involving a traffic analysis and infrastructure for a housing development on the north side of Gonzales was approved by City Council members Feb. 20.
