Tax prep volunteers needed

Alliance on Aging is looking for a few South County residents to volunteer for the 2018 Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program, which offers no-cost tax preparation services for seniors in Monterey County.

Free event offers playful literacy experiences for families

Read to Me Project has announced an admission-free festival for families called ā€œSalinas Valley Grows Readers,ā€ which will be held Sunday, April 30, from 12 to 3 p.m. at The First Tee of Monterey County, 1551 Beacon Hill Drive, in Salinas.

Program offers free water for qualified residents

California State Water Board staff set up a booth last Sunday at Patriot Park in Greenfield to sign up South County residents who qualify for free bottled drinking water if they have private domestic wells with high nitrate levels.
