South County football teams prep for season

With the high school football season under two months away, local teams are preparing for fall games with weight lifting, overall conditioning, and taking part in seven-on-seven football games.

The track and field season ended at the Central Coast Section finals for Pablo Villasenor of Gonzales, Noora Hautamaki of Soledad, and Dylan Oliveros of King City.

Trio qualifies for CCS finals

A trio of track and field athletes from Soledad, King City and Gonzales will represent their high schools and South County at Friday’s Central Coast Section Track and Field Championships at Gilroy High School.
