SOLEDAD — City of Soledad will bring back its Music in the Park series this summer, offering residents and visitors three evenings of live entertainment, local vendors and family-friendly activities in downtown Soledad.

The free music series is scheduled for Fridays, June 12, July 10 and Aug. 14, with each event taking place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at 555 Front St.

Now in its second year, Music in the Park returns following the success of its inaugural season in 2025. City officials said each event will feature a live musical headliner, food vendors, craft booths, games and activities for all ages.

This Friday’s kickoff event will feature SOL Band, performing a mix of funk, Latin soul and old-school music.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and gather with family and friends for an evening of music, food and entertainment while supporting local businesses and vendors.

“Music in the Park is returning this summer, and we are excited to once again bring our community together through live music and family-friendly entertainment,” said Mayor Anna Velazquez. “Last year’s series created such a positive and energetic atmosphere downtown, and it was wonderful to see families, friends and neighbors making memories together. Events like this are an investment in our community — supporting local businesses, strengthening connections and creating spaces where everyone can come together and thrive.”

According to the city, the series is part of ongoing efforts to foster community connections, encourage local engagement and provide memorable experiences for residents and visitors throughout the region.

Additional information, including vendor opportunities and entertainment announcements, will be posted by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department through its social media channels and official website cityofsoledad.com.
