SALINAS VALLEY — Greenfield High School boys’ soccer standout player Hector Garcia was not only chosen to the first-team All-League in the Pacific Coast Athletic League’s Gabilan Division, but he was also picked as the Offensive Player of the Year.

According to Greenfield head soccer coach Manny Barron, Garcia was a multi-talented player for the Bruins in perhaps the toughest division of the PCAL.

“This kid can do it all,” Barron said. “On the floor, in the air, left foot right foot, he’s a tank. He was the second highest scorer in the Gabilan Division this year.”

Anthony Zavala was a second-team player for the Bruins, and Larry Picazo was picked to the Richard Chamberlin All-Sportsmanship Team.

King City High School boys’ soccer team dominated the All-League selections on PCAL’s Mission Division.

Four Mustang players were chosen to the first-team All-League, including the division’s Most Valuable Player Gerardo Quintana. Joining Quintana as first-team players for King City were Esteban Acosta, Jesus Montoya and Angel Romero.
