SOUTH COUNTY — Soledad Christmas Celebration Committee is looking for girls and boys ages 3 to 17 years old to be part of the 24th annual Snow Queen and King Competition.
“We are still seeking candidates for a couple more weeks,” said Committee Member Pauline Tomasini.
Competitors can be from Soledad, Greenfield or Gonzales.
There are several different categories for competition, starting with Little Miss Snow Flake and Little Mr. Snow Count for those ages 3 to 5; Little Miss Snow Angel and
Little Mr. Snow Duke for ages 6 to 9; Little Miss Snow Sparkle and Little Mr. Snow Prince for ages 10 to 13; and Miss Snow Queen and Mr. Snow King is for competitors ages 14 to 17.
The contestants are awarded points for ticket sales, interview, formal attire and academics.
Entry forms can be found at the Soledad Information Center at 641 Front St. The form asks for information about the contestants’ school life, community activities and awards as well as talents and hobbies.
Contestants must be between the age ranges as of Sept. 1 of this year.
The 33rd annual Christmas Celebration will take place Saturday, Dec. 1, in downtown Soledad.
