SAFE WATER

SAN ARDO — On March 11, there was a notification of the need to not drink San Ardo tap water or use it for cooking purposes. As of March 27, San Ardo Water District and Monterey County Health Department has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, the water is now safe to drink. PARK LIGHTS

SOLEDAD — City of Soledad announced that it will begin installing lights at Jesse Gallardo Park Field #3 on Metz Road and Blas Santana Park (aka The Pit) on Gabilan Drive. The project’s cost of $483,735 is funded through the Parks Impact Fee Fund. Construction is estimated to be completed in April.


CASINO NIGHT

KING CITY — Rancho Cielo Youth Campus is heading back to the tables for its annual Casino Night on Friday, March 31, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City. SOLEDAD — Food Bank for Monterey County is planning an emergency food distribution in Soledad on Wednesday, March 29. The pop-up event will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. at 235 Main St.
