MEMORIAL BARBECUE

KING CITY — Veterans of Foreign Wars in King City are planning a Memorial Day drive-thru barbecue for the upcoming holiday on May 31. The VFW branch will celebrate its 75th year this month, but pandemic shutdowns mean a normal celebration will not take place. However, members are planning the barbecue to not only have an event for the community, but also as a way to pay tribute to veterans and celebrate the group’s 75 years of supporting veterans in the community.
