GONZALES — Last week members of the Gonzales FFA heard from the eight Officer Candidates for the 2017-2018 school year. Each candidate presented a two-minute speech to the over 150 FFA members.
The announcement of next year’s officers will be at the club’s Annual FFA Banquet on Thursday, May 4.
The students running ranged from current freshmen to sophomores — Maria Mencheca, Ricshylle Balli, Ivan Mendez, Leobardo Rosas, Jennifer Valdez, Luis Sainz, Marielena Ramirez and Samantha Santos.
