GREENFIELD — Lavender Creek, a lavender farm and wellness brand, has teamed up with Scheid Vineyards to offer lavender gifts at the winery’s award-winning tasting rooms, including in Greenfield.

The co-founders, Ryan and Myriah Hopkins, launched a catalog of soothing lavender bath and beauty products at the end of last year after planting a lavender farm on Carmel Valley Road and competing in CSUMB’s Startup Challenge Monterey Bay.

Now, the company’s products can be found at local businesses, ranging from hospitals and grocers to farmers markets and tasting rooms.

Scheid Vineyards has tasting rooms in Carmel-By-The-Sea and Greenfield, where they feature their wines and retail products from local business. The products from Lavender Creek’s catalog available at Scheid Vineyards include bath minerals, salt scrubs, body oils, and handmade bar soaps all made with 100% natural ingredients.

Lavender and wine have a history as a pair. Lavender and grape vines both thrive in the same sun-kissed Mediterranean climate that can be found in Monterey County and much of California. In fact, one will see several lavender varieties growing at Scheid Vineyards’ Greenfield tasting room.

In a culinary setting, some wines pair well with dishes seasoned with lavender and other herbs.

“Scheid Vineyards also appreciated that our lavender farm is sustainably powered by solar because their entire winery and bottling operation is powered by the Scheid Vineyard wind turbine in the Salinas Valley,” Ryan Hopkins said. “We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Scheid Vineyard and we really appreciate that we have similar values.”

Lavender Creek plans to attend more of Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room events and wine club gatherings to offer customers a chance to experience their catalog, share their story and meet more of the community.

Scheid Vineyards’ tasting rooms are located at San Carlos Street and Seventh Avenue in Carmel-By-The-Sea and at 1972 Hobson Ave. in Greenfield.
