GREENFIELD — Greenfield Police Department arrested Jubentino Aguilar Macias, 45, of Greenfield, on multiple charges of child molestation on April 13.

The arrest followed an investigation prompted by two juvenile girls who came forward on April 12, reporting that they had been sexually molested by Macias over the course of two years.

Upon his arrest, Macias admitted to sexually abusing the girls. He is currently housed at the Monterey County Jail on a $2.5 million bail.

“Greenfield Police Department takes all allegations of child molestation seriously and will continue to investigate this case until all facts have been uncovered,” police said in a news release. “We encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to please come forward and seek the help and treatment you deserve.”

Monterey County Rape Crisis Center, which provides support and resources for sexual assault survivors, can be reached at 831-375-HELP (4357).

Anyone with information about Macias is urged to contact Detective Sgt. Mattke at 831-674-5111.
