GONZALES — Cypress Church of Gonzales will host its third annual Easter in the Park church services, including an Easter egg hunt, on Sunday, April 16, at 10 a.m.
The Easter event will feature singing, fellowship and Bible teaching in the fresh air on Easter morning. One of the ladies from the church will be singing a solo a cappella in Spanish during the service.
They will offer a presentation for children that will be separate from the church service.
“We will have some teachers that will do a lesson using ‘resurrection eggs,’ telling the story of the gospel using plastic eggs with items in the eggs that tell the Easter story,” said Mark Da Vee, Pastor of Cypress Church.
After the services finish, youth will be allowed to hunt and collect more than 2,000 eggs that will be distributed around Gonzales’ Central Park, 207 Fifth St.
Easter in the Park is open to all ages and religions. Pastor Da Vee said the annual event is one of the highlights of the year.
