GONZALES — El Dia Del Nino, or Children’s Day, celebration occurred this past Sunday, April 29, at Central Park in Gonzales.
The day celebrated children with such prizes as dolls, bicycles, games and more. Gonzales Fire Department, the MY Museum Wheelie Mobilee and more joined in the day.
Children’s Day is an annual celebration that took place in Mexico since 1925. In Mexico, the day represents the important role of children and the importance of teaching them to be loving, accepting and appreciating children.
