A queen is crowned

GONZALES — This past Sunday the City of Gonzales celebrated Cinco de Mayo in Central Park. The festivities started with a parade to Central Park, which included horseback riders, show cars and Gonzales Mayor Maria Orozco. The past year’s queen for 2016, Esmerelda Uribe (below), rode in on a GMC pickup while this year’s queen for 2017 was Breyannalee Tello, 8, (above) who rode in on horseback.
