GONZALES — The Gonzales Unified School District and community students took over the Gonzales High School Music Building this past weekend to perform “Willy Wonka Jr.”
The play follows the story of Charlie Bucket, who is not the richest kid but finds a Golden Ticket one day that allows him admittance to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. Charlie and four other ticket winners follow Wonka through his factory and are tested along the way about their honesty, greed, respect and more.
Willy Wonka was played by Joshua Aguirre, Charlie by Andrew Castillo, and Gracie Leon took on the role of Mrs. Gloop.
“Willy Wonka Jr.” was directed by Emily Rios and Cybele Foraker.
