GONZALES — The Fourth of July was an event-filled day in Gonzales with the Orange and Black 5K Race through town and the annual parade.

Beginning at 8 a.m., walkers and runners raced through the streets of Gonzales to make their way back to Central Park. The race was hosted by the Gonzales Rotary.

After taking a few hours to recover from the race, Gonzales residents gathered for the Downtown Parade and the Gonzales Rotary barbecue.

Attendees were treated to live music and a DJ, food booths and a kids zone sponsored by the Rotary, City of Gonzales, Rabobank N.A. and Silva Farms.
