SOLEDAD — Soledad Police Chief Patrick Valenzuela recently announced that Lt. Juan Santiago has successfully graduated from the 295th session of the FBI National Academy.
The graduation ceremony was held at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va., on Sept. 4. Santiago is only the second officer in the history of the Soledad Police Department to complete this highly selective and rigorous program.
Renowned globally for its academic excellence, the FBI National Academy offers a comprehensive 10-week training program focused on advanced communication, leadership and physical fitness. To qualify, participants must demonstrate proven professionalism and dedication within their respective law enforcement agencies.

Juan Santiago from the FBI National Academy is a testament to his dedication and leadership,” Valenzuela said. “His commitment to advanced training and professional development exemplifies the high standards of the Soledad Police Department. The skills and knowledge he has gained will undoubtedly strengthen our department and enhance our ability to serve the community.”
The 295th session comprised 254 law enforcement officers from across the United States and abroad. Attendees hailed from 49 states, the District of Columbia and included members from 20 countries. The group also featured 10 members from six military organizations and four federal civilian agencies.
“Join us in congratulating Lt. Santiago on this outstanding achievement,” stated the Soledad Police Department on social media. “Your dedication inspires all of Soledad PD. We’re proud of you!”
