GONZALES — Gonzales High School hosted the Spartan Winter Crucible wrestling tournament for JV boys and varsity girls on Dec. 10.

Nearly 300 wrestlers participated in the day’s event.

Spartan medalists were: Gio Manzo, 3rd place; Sebastian Barboza, 3rd place; Dominique Montiel, 1st place; Gracie Leon, 3rd place; Cherish Yebra, 2nd place; and Gabriel Prieto, 2nd place; Natalia Villalobos, 4th place; and Adary Lopez, 2nd place.
