GONZALES — It’s been a busy time for the Gonzales High School wrestling program, as the wrestlers have been going to tournaments and winning medals.

The boys went up to Watsonville to compete in the 2023 Apple Cider Classic.

Spartan wrestlers Jose Viorato placed fourth and Andrew Zarate took third in their weight classes.

The girls participated in the Ladies Coast Classic at Santa Cruz High School.

Spartan wrestlers Cherish Yebra got fourth place in the 106-pound weight class, while Gracie Leon placed first in her weight class at 116 pounds.
