GONZALES — Gonzales High freshman wrestler Juliet Amador placed sixth in the 140-pound weight class at the Central Coast Section Masters championship on Saturday at Watsonville High.

A total of 90 schools participated in the championship. Amador was the only South Monterey County wrestler to place.

The top four boys and girls advance to the State Meet that will take place Feb. 26-28 at Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield.
