GONZALES — Eight wrestlers from the Fairview Middle School Warrior wrestling team from Gonzales won medals at Saturday’s Eye of the Tiger Wrestling Tournament at San Benito High School in Hollister.
Placing first for the Warriors were Aryanna Martinez, Gracie Leon, and Samantha Franco. Evelyn Flores placed second. Placing third were Jose Viorato, Vrillana Martinez, Andrew Zarate, and Vanessa Romero.
This Saturday the Warriors will be at the Coastal Counties Middle School Wrestling League (CCMSWL) Championship at El Sausal Middle School in Salinas. The championship is the final competition of the season for the Warrior team.
