The Gonzales FFA has announced that 24 Gonzales High School agricultural students earned their California State FFA Degree.

Though the Community Service Involvement Interact Club of Fairview Middle School (CSI: FMS) is only in its second year at Fairview, they have managed to get noticed in the City of Gonzales and around Monterey County.

Gonzales youth Jayden Octavio Villegas participated in this year’s California Rodeo Salinas and won the stick horse race and mutton busting events.

Samantha Santos from the Gonzales High School FFA is not only the recipient of Monterey County Fair’s 2017 Heritage Scholarship, but she is also raising the hog that will be auctioned off at the Fair.

First graders at La Gloria Elementary School received a surprise Aug. 13, the first day of school, from Taylor Farms, which gave backpacks to every first-grade student.

Trick-or-treaters were given a fright on Halloween when they visited the Haunted Gonzales Police Department.

Gonzales High School seniors received awards for academics, leadership, Seal of Biliteracy and more on May 31 during the Annual Senior Awards Night.

Gonzales once again participated in the annual National Night Out campaign on Aug. 1, bringing police officers and neighbors together for one night to unite against crime.
