GONZALES — A town hall meeting is set for Thursday, April 19, in Gonzales to learn about new resources in Monterey County that are part of a grant.

“We’ve having a small town hall just to inform the community about the new resources,” said Event Coordinator Alexis Magdaleno.

The meeting will have agencies present to speak about Prop 47 felony reclassification and dismissal, mental health services, job training, legal services, housing and substance abuse treatment.

The meeting will be held at Vosti Memorial Recreation Center, 107 Centennial Drive, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Representatives from MILPA, Monterey County Behavioral Health, Turning Point, Monterey County Public Defender’s Office, California Rural Legal Assistance and Sun Street Centers will be in attendance.

“They are all part of a grant that we received to do work in South County or expand services there,” Magdaleno said.
