Soledad woman crashes vehicle while intoxicated with 4-year-old inside

SOLEDAD — A Soledad woman is facing multiple charges following a drunken-driving accident with her 4-year-old child inside the vehicle.

On Wednesday evening, 25-year-old Gabriela Aguilera of Soledad lost control of her vehicle turning onto West Street and crashed into the PG&E substation concrete wall.

Her child, who was unrestrained in the vehicle, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Aguilera’s blood alcohol level was found to be almost two times over the legal limit, according to the Soledad Police Department.

Aguilera was charged with DUI, child endangerment and driving without a license. She was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and then booked into the Monterey County Jail on the felony charges.
