SOLEDAD — On the morning of June 18, Soledad Police detectives, with assistance from the Greenfield Police Department, Cal Fire, Monterey County Probation Department, California State Parole and members of the South Monterey County Task Force, served two simultaneous search warrants in the cities of Soledad and Greenfield.

Officers located an illegally manufactured rifle, a stolen pistol, a shotgun that was supposed to be surrendered to law enforcement, as well as ammunition for each weapon.

Mario Cabrera, 50, of Soledad and a 16-year old from Greenfield, both Norteno gang associates, were arrested on numerous weapon violations and lodged into the Monterey County Jail and Juvenile Hall, respectively.
