GONZALES — Last week’s rain didn’t dampen the spirits of more than 100 attendees at the monthly South County Seniors (SOCOS) Social in Gonzales.

Hosted by Adventure Seeking Seniors, in partnership with Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley (MOWSV), the seniors were treated to a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.

The Nov. 16 event was held at St. Theodore’s Church and included donations from the Food Bank for Monterey County and resources from senior agencies, such as Center for Community Advocacy; Visiting Nurse Association; Loaves, Fishes and Computers; and Monterey-Salinas Transit.
