PLAYGROUNDS REOPEN
MONTEREY COUNTY — Playgrounds and structures in Monterey County parks are set to reopen, with the official announced reopening date as Oct. 24. However, while the county has permitted the reopening with the approval of the California Department of Public Health, individual city jurisdictions still need to approve their own parks for opening. Monterey County’s own Toro Park outside Salinas remains closed due to fire damage and San Lorenzo Park in King City is also closed due to housing a Covid-19 alternate housing site. King City itself authorized reopening of its parks with restrictions beginning Oct. 26.
