WALK FINALE

KING CITY — City of King is hosting the final Blue Zones Project Summer Community Walk this Thursday, Sept. 25. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Downtown Plaza on Broadway and Vanderhurst Avenue. Participants can enjoy free snacks, live entertainment, a 30-minute walk and a raffle with prizes, including a $500 grand prize. To qualify for the raffle, simply join the walk. Everyone is welcome to participate in this family-friendly event.


RECYCLED WATER PROJECT

SOLEDAD — City of Soledad is set to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its long-awaited Recycled Water Conveyance Project. The event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, 101 Gabilan Drive, will showcase the city’s initiative to become the first in the tri-county area to utilize recycled water at parks and schools. The City encourages the public to attend this milestone event and learn more about Soledad’s efforts toward water conservation and sustainability.


RANCHO DAY

SALINAS — Monterey County Historical Society will host Rancho Day at the Adobe on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 333 Boronda Road in Salinas. The family-friendly event offers free admission and features live historical reenactments, music, demonstrations such as blacksmithing and cowboy roping, and guided tours of the historic buildings. Attendees can enjoy arts and crafts, a produce and used book sale, dancing Charro Horses and offerings from local food trucks. KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will host its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 11:30 a.m., at Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, Oradre Building, 625 Division St. in King City. The guest speaker will be Steve Hilton, Republican candidate for California governor. Doors open at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are required for this meeting and the deadline is Sept. 29.
