MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Workforce Development Board is inviting job seekers to a virtual job fair on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those interested need to register in advance on the Premier Virtual platform at https://pvapi.premiervirtual.com/s/0W94rx. The virtual job fair is free, and job seekers who need help upgrading their resumes or practicing interview tips are encouraged to contact the One Stop Career Center at 831-796-3335 or email [email protected] in advance of the recruitment.


RENT ASSISTANCE

GREENFIELD — Those who were financially impacted by Covid-19 can get assistance with their rent and utility bills. City of Greenfield has announced residents can sign up for the Emergency Rent Assistance Program, available by calling 211 or visiting MCRentHelp.com.


FOUNDATION GRANTS

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Foundation, an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County, has $18,000 available to grant in 2021 to nonprofit organizations, public programs and other groups serving Southern Monterey County residents. Grants range from $500 to $2,000 and must focus on projects and programs that benefit the communities of Southern Monterey County, which covers King City and all points south, excluding the coastal region. Grant proposals are due 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, and decisions will be announced in late November. Applications can be found online at cfmco.org/SMCF.
