CLEANUP DAY
GREENFIELD — City of Greenfield and other organizations have planned a Cleanup Day on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Greenfield Corporation Yard, 920 Walnut Ave. Local residents can dispose of such items as general garbage, mattresses, electronics, TVs, computers, metal appliances and metal and steel items, including refrigerators and freezers, for free. No yard waste or wood will be accepted, and Covid-19 health protocols will be in place.
COYOTE FALL FEST
JOLON — The first-ever Coyote Fall Fest, hosted by Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, will take place at Fort Hunter Liggett on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the intersection of Jolon and Mission roads. The festival will feature vendor booths available to individuals and businesses, activities and bounce houses for children, and food available for purchase. Parking will be available for guests and vendors. Directional signs will be posted on Jolon Road.
MISSION ANNIVERSARY
JOLON — Mission San Antonio de Padua is inviting the community to enjoy an “Enchanting Afternoon in the Garden” to celebrate its 250th anniversary. The celebration is set for Saturday, Nov. 6, from 2 to 5 p.m., along with the Holiday Open House at the Mission’s Gift Shop. This year’s special event provides an opportunity to sample local wines while enjoying appetizers among the Mission’s newly restored garden and experience first-hand the results of its seven-year retrofit/restoration project.
