SUMMER KICK-OFF

SOLEDAD — City of Soledad will host a free summer kick-off event filled with fun activities for families on Sunday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 560 Walker Drive by Rotary Park in Soledad. There will be food, games, crafts, prizes and information about other programs being offered at the Soledad Community Center this summer.


ANIMAL BENEFIT

SOLEDAD — South County Animal Rescue’s Pinot for Paws fundraiser will take place Sunday, June 12, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Manzoni Vineyards, 30981 River Road, in Soledad. ENCHILADA FUNDRAISER

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will be preparing chicken and beef enchiladas to be picked up at the Salinas Valley Fair’s Orradre Building in King City on Thursday, June 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. Rosa Pacheco is the lead chef for this fundraiser, which is offered for pre-sale only. Proceeds will help fund the club’s two $1,000 scholarships offered to South Monterey County high school seniors as well as sending packages to troops serving overseas and other community endeavors.
