BEAUTIFICATION CONTINUES
KING CITY — King City’s Beautification Week is underway and all residents and businesses are urged to pick a project to beautify the town. Beautification Week runs from June 20-29 under the sponsorship of the King City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture in partnership with Waste Management (WM), Salinas Valley Recycles, City of King and King City in Bloom. Recommendations include pulling weeds and trimming shrubs, sweeping sidewalks, washing windows, painting buildings and trim, removing gum from sidewalks, placing leaves in the green carts, repainting signs, removing handwritten signs and making plans to mow and edge lawns weekly. Those unable to complete a project this week are encouraged to use the month of July and the time ahead to make improvements. Evidence of past beautification projects are visible throughout the town.
