CICLOVÍA GREENFIELD
GREENFIELD — City of Greenfield and the Monterey County Health Department are hosting a Ciclovía on Sunday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The purpose of Ciclovía, a Spanish term meaning “cycleway or bike path,” is to open the streets to the community and provide a safe and inclusive environment where families can come together to enjoy such recreation as biking, walking, running or skating, and establish a platform that encourages residents to adopt healthier habits. Activities will take place on El Camino Real, from Apple to Elm avenues, and will include free fun activities and games, music and community resource agencies sharing information and a raffle at the end of the event.
MONSTER JAM
SALINAS — The Monster Jam is finally coming back to Salinas after a three-year hiatus caused by the pandemic on Sunday, June 26, at 2 p.m., with gates open at noon. There will be a free pit party to see trucks up close and collect autographs from drivers on Saturday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with drivers on-site from 12 to 2 p.m., at the Salinas Sports Complex, 1034 N. GREENFIELD — City of Greenfield Public Works and the Greenfield Police Department will engrave catalytic converters for free for local residents only on Saturday, July 16.
