VACCINE CLINIC

GONZALES — The City of Gonzales, in conjunction with Gonzales Rx Pharmacy, will offer a free Covid-19 vaccine clinic for youth and students age 12 and older. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the pharmacy, located at 18 Fourth St. in Gonzales.


WILDFIRE SAFETY

MONTEREY COUNTY — Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will be discussing wildfire safety plans in Monterey, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties during a webinar on Thursday, July 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Topics include PG&E’s wildfire prevention plans; resources to help customers and communities before, during and after Public Safety Power Shutoff events; and PG&E’s improved technology and tools focused on safety. BIKE CRUISE

KING CITY — A bike cruise group is being formed with an initial round of rides on July 31 to gauge interest. Two rides will take place for different skill levels. Experienced riders confident being around fast-moving cars can join a 10-mile loop that goes out on Spreckels Road and returns via Metz Road, which will begin at 8:45 a.m. A casual street cruise of less than 4 miles, intended for all types of bikes and riders, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Both rides begin and end at the King City Recreation Department parking lot. A short mini-workshop to help with adjustments, tire inflation and some minor repairs will take place at 10 a.m. For information, contact [email protected].
