HOSPITAL SAFETY
SALINAS — Natividad Medical Center in Salinas has received an “A” grade in the Spring 2025 Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit organization that assesses hospital safety nationwide. The grade is based on more than 30 measures related to errors, injuries, infections and safety protocols aimed at preventing harm to patients. “Natividad is honored to be recognized by The Leapfrog Group and ranked among the best hospitals in the nation for hospital safety,” said Natividad CEO Dr. Chad Harris. “As a public safety net hospital and trauma center, Natividad’s mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate health care to everyone who walks through our doors. Our team is committed to providing the safest care and best possible outcomes across the organization.” The Leapfrog Group’s Safety Grade is the only nationwide rating focused solely on preventable medical errors and injuries, and it is updated twice each year to reflect current hospital performance.
