HIGHWAY CLOSURES

KING CITY — A Caltrans pavement rehabilitation construction project along Highway 101 near King City will require a full overnight closure of the highway between First and Broadway streets beginning Monday through Wednesday nights. The full closures will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., and traffic will be detoured both ways along Broadway through town. Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.


HOLOCAUST PRESENTATION

LOCKWOOD — San Antonio Elementary School will host a Zoom presentation with guest speaker Rose Schindler, a Holocaust survivor. Schindler will share her story of loss, resilience and survival. The event is free to attend, but participants are asked to make a donation to the San Antonio Union School District PTO, for purposes of future workforce curriculum for students. The presentation will take place Feb. 11 from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. For information, call 831-385-3051.


GREENFIELD ROCKS

GREENFIELD — Mayra Ochoa announced Jan. 31 online that she created a Facebook group to encourage others to join her Greenfield Rocks project. In the project, Ochoa has painted rocks with inspiring or friendly messages intended to cheer up anyone who finds them. The initial theme she is working with is Valentine’s Day, and said the first group of painted stones were hidden along El Camino Real.
