SKATE PARK

GONZALES — A ribbon-cutting celebration for the opening of Gonzales Skate Park is planned for Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. The skate park, located at 203 First St. in Gonzales, was completed last week and is now open to the community.


BBQ TAKEOUT

SOLEDAD — Soledad Rotary and the American Legion are co-sponsoring a Chicken Barbecue Takeout on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 12. The meal includes a half chicken, beans, salad, roll and beverage, with assorted desserts available. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Soledad American Legion Hall, 160 Main St. For tickets, contact members of the local Rotary or Legion.


BIRTHDAY EXHIBIT

KING CITY — To celebrate Sol Treasures’ 15th birthday, local artists are invited to submit their artwork reflecting the theme, “Vision, Celebration and Reflection.” The exhibit will run from March 1 through April 26, with a celebration reception on Friday, April 14. Artists can submit paintings, prints, photos, multimedia, jewelry, songs and poems, along with a bio that reflects how Sol Treasures has made an impact in their life or career. All artwork must be framed, wired and labeled, ready to hang and no bigger than 16×16 inches. Deliver in person by Feb. 22 at Sol Treasures, 519 Broadway St., in King City.
