SOLEDAD — A public hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 6 p.m. to seek comments on draft district maps prepared for pending by-district Soledad City Council elections. The hearing is part of the Council’s regularly scheduled meeting at City Hall, 248 Main St., in Soledad. For more information, or to view the draft district maps, go to cityofsoledad.com.


BUSINESS WORKSHOP

SALINAS — In partnership with Cal Coastal SBDC, Roberto Martinez — a local marketing expert and California’s Grow with Google Digital Coach — will lead a free, in-person workshop to help small businesses in Salinas and the surrounding area build new skills to grow. In this workshop, businesses will learn how to create and manage a Google Business Profile from start to finish. The free workshop is set for Thursday, Aug. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at CSUMB at Salinas City Center, 1 Main St., in Salinas. To register, visit g.co/Grow/Salinas.


CIRCUS ROYAL

GONZALES — Circus Royal Spectacular is coming to Gonzales on Aug. 3-6 at Centennial Park, 250 First St. Circus showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 3 and 4; 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5; and 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6. The 90-minute performance will take place under the Big Top, with doors opening 45 minutes before the show. For advance tickets, visit circusroyaltickets.com. BONUS BRIEF: AWARENESS WALK

SOLEDAD — The third annual Breastfeeding Awareness Walk and Health Fair is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Soledad Community Center, 560 Walker Drive, in Soledad. In addition to the Walk, activities include a health fair, breastfeeding booth, free T-shirts and raffle prizes. A similar event took place in Salinas on Aug. 1.
