SALINAS — Monterey County’s Toro Park reopened to the public on April 19 after an eight-month closure as the park recovered from wildfire damage. Most trails in the park are open and visitors are asked to stay on and in designated trails and spaces as some areas are still fragile. Park hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. through the summer.


MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Area Agency on Aging is hosting a public hearing on Thursday, April 22, during an advisory council meeting at 3 p.m., conducted through Zoom, with planned discussion to focus on services for older adults.
