GONZALES  — This Saturday, April 29, the Gonzales Police Department and the Monterey County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) have teamed up to bring a low-cost vaccination clinic to the city.

Starting at 9 a.m. and running until 1 p.m., locals can bring their pets to the Gonzales Police Department, 109 Fourth St., in Gonzales for vaccination micro-chipping and licensing.

The services provided are: Rabies/DA2PP for dogs and FVRCP for cats. It is $20 per vaccine and $25 per microchip administered. For a Gonzales city dog license, the fees are $15 altered or $25 unaltered.

The cost of the immunization and micro-chipping are cash only for vaccines and microchips; the cost of licensing can be paid by check. The vaccines and microchips are provided and administered by the SPCA for Monterey County.
