Obituary | Gonzalo Arroyo

Gonzalo Arroyo, 80, passed away peacefully at home in Phoenix, Ariz.

He was born Jan. 10, 1938, on his grandfather’s ranch, the Las Palmas Ranch in Gonzales. He was raised in Gonzales and then moved to Phoenix.

He attended Gonzales High School, class of 1957, where he was active in sports and FFA.

After graduating, he was hired by William and Gail Allen, where he started his career as a plumber. He continued his career as a plumber for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosaura Arroyo and sons, Anthony, Arturo, Alfredo, Adrien, Armando, Alex, and Abel Arroyo; 20 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; siblings, Mike, Cipriano, Jess Jr., Emily Goodnight, and Helen Piini.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Arroyo and Helen Arroyo; sister, Carmen Mallobox.

A Mass will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 9 am at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Gonzales, and burial will follow at the Gonzales Cemetery.
