MONTEREY COUNTY — See Monterey, the destination marketing organization for Monterey County, is conducting a Resident Sentiment Survey and hosting a Community Input Forum to better understand the community’s opinions on the impact of visitors to the area and understanding of the County’s tourism economy.

The survey and input forum will guide an update to See Monterey’s destination-wide Strategic Roadmap. Both are being professionally administered by an outside vendor.

“These platforms are a crucial part of See Monterey’s commitment to creating a thriving tourism economy that enriches Monterey County’s economic vitality and quality of life with a commitment towards responsible and sustainable tourism growth,” according to the organization.

Resident Sentiment Survey

All Monterey County residents are encouraged to participate in an online survey. The survey is available online, in both English and Spanish, through the month of May.

The survey invites residents as well as those who operate a business/organization or own property in Monterey County to voice their thoughts on the local tourism industry. To take the survey, visit tinyurl.com/MCsurvey24.

Community Input Forum

Also, Monterey County residents are invited to join an in-person Community Input Forum to discuss topics related to tourism and visitors in Monterey County and provide qualitative insights.

The Forum is set for Wednesday, June 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Monterey Conference Center.
