To the Editor:
I would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped to supply the homeless and those in need with coats and jackets.
I would like to thank Jose at the Greenfield Community Science Workshop who has been helping me for the past nine years. I would never have been able to have a coat drive without his help.
I also want to thank KSBW, KRKC and the Salinas Valley Tribune for letting so many people know of the event. Also, thank you to the locations that had containers that collected so many coats: Greenfield City Hall, Greenfield Fire Department, Greenfield Community Science Workshop, Higher Level and the American Legion.
Especially a very big thank you to all who took the time to donate their gently used coats and jackets and to those who bought new ones to donate. You donated over 200 coats and jackets.
I can never thank Rigo Avila enough for helping. He is the wonderful person who takes the coats and hands them out to help the homeless.
