GONZALES — The annual Reuse, Recycle and Cleanup event saw many residents taking part to get rid of items they don’t use anymore.

The cleanup is a collaboration between the City of Gonzales and Salinas Valley Recycles, which provided a composting workshop Saturday of the two-day event.

Helping to divide up the items that came into the Fairview Middle School site were the Gonzales High School cheerleaders.

Save the Whales Organization and Monterey County Health Department Recycling Services were also on hand to provide information to Gonzales residents.
