GREENFIELD — Blackbelt students from Carrillo’s Karate Studio in Greenfield are training for an international tournament that will take place Oct. 26-30 in England.
The tournament is for blackbelt students and the participants from Greenfield include middle school students and one 10-year-old. Carrillo’s Karate Studio is affiliated with Shotokan Karate.
“We are looking forward to making the trip to England with our students,” said Carrillo Karate Sensei Roosevelt Sosa. “Our time will be used to prepare for that tournament.”
To help finance the trip, Carrillo’s Karate will host a chicken take-out this Sunday, July 9, at Holy Trinity Church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
