KING CITY — King City residents Bruce and Ana Greenberg are collecting items from the community to send to Puerto Rico, which was devastated last month by Hurricane Maria, the strongest storm to make landfall there in more than 85 years.

Ana Greenberg, a native of Puerto Rico, is reaching out to her people.

“This is what we feel is right to do,” she says. “Our island is not destroyed. It is simply under a huge remodeling job. Our people will rise and it will be a great island to visit again. With your help, we can get them there.”

The following items are needed: shoes, clothes for both adults and children, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, towels, shampoo, hairbrushes, light blankets, sheets, pillows, covers, mosquito netting and any other items needed to survive.

Anyone who would like to contribute can pack the items in a box and seal it. Place the boxes on the Greenbergs’ porch at 143 Villa Drive in King City.

For more information, call Ana Greenberg at 831-776-3886.

“Your donations will be greatly appreciated,” she says.
