MONTEREY COUNTY — In partnership with the California Employers Association, the Monterey County Workforce Development Board is providing a free hotline and a series of webinars to assist local employers with Human Resources (HR) support. 

Employers can call the HR Hotline Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., toll-free at 888-589-7577 for English or 888-217-6899 for Spanish. 

Topics include: claims for unemployment insurance, labor commission and/or discrimination; Covid-19 related and return-to-work inquiries; Employee discipline and termination; employee and labor relations; harassment prevention; paid sick leave laws and Family and Medical Leave Act; and workers’ compensation regulations.

The next webinar, “What Employers Need Today,” is planned for Thursday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. and explores today’s trends in the workplace in regard to recruiting, hiring and retaining employees. 

The presentation will include collaborative ways to ensure that employers are able to obtain employees that are ready to hire and resources that will help everyone succeed. To register, go to tinyurl.com/MCWDBwebinar0127
