MONTEREY COUNTY — Hartnell Community College District (HCCD) Governing Board recently welcomed Cesar Iracheta as Trustee for District 6.

Iracheta took the oath of office during a board meeting held July 9 at the Hartnell College main campus in Salinas.

District 6 encompasses the cities of Chualar, Gonzales, Soledad and parts of northeast Salinas. Iracheta’s term will run through December 2026.

“We are honored to welcome Cesar to the Hartnell Community College District board,” stated Irma Lopez, HCCD board president. “We look forward to the positive impact of his leadership and contributions to the growth and success of Hartnell College and our students.”

Iracheta is a seasoned broker and investor in Monterey County and boasts a career in real estate that spans more than 30 years.

With deep roots in the Salinas Valley, Iracheta’s educational background includes attending public schools in Chualar and graduating from North Salinas High School in 1988. Following high school, he honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 1992, earning distinction as a wartime veteran.

Beyond his professional achievements, Iracheta has actively contributed to the community by serving as an assistant coach for the junior varsity team at Everett Alvarez High School in Salinas. He is also a dedicated family man, the proud father of four sons and grandfather of four grandchildren.

Iracheta now joins Lopez (District 4), Board Vice-President Alejandra González (District 1), Trustees Margaret D’Arrigo (District 3), Candi DePauw (District 7), Ray Montemayor (District 5) and Aurelio Salazar Jr. (District 2), HCCD Superintendent/President and Board Secretary Michael Gutierrez and Student Member Zoe Cruz Uribe on the Governing Board.
